My friends have a Wedding Website and App with Tie the Knot, how do I locate it?
Simply type the Bride or Groom’s name in the Find a Wedding text box on our home page and a list of matching weddings will display. Select their wedding to view their website and download their app!
Does Tie the Knot replace my physical Wedding Invitation?
We wouldn’t think of trying to replace the Wedding Invitation! Tie the Knot’s website and app is a great way to inform your guests of all the details of your wedding.
Does Tie the Knot provide a public URL for my Wedding Website?
Yes, during the registration process you will be prompted to enter a unique URL for your wedding. This is the URL you will print on your invitations and send to your guests. You will receive a welcome email with your website address and instructions on how to download your app.
Do I create the Website and App separately?sas
No way! By creating your website with Tie the Knot, we automatically create a matching iPhone and Android app. Follow the directions in the welcome email you receive from Tie the Knot to view your website and app.
Some of my guests do not have smart phones or use apps, can I still use Tie the Knot?
Of course! With Tie the Knot you create your very own public website that anyone with a computer will be able to view.
How much does Tie the Knot App cost to use?
Tie the Knot charges a one-time fee of $100.00 per wedding and offers a free 7 day trial period. The one-time fee includes unlimited website updates, color and design changes, content storage, and app downloads. We don’t have any hidden fees or additional charges and are pleased to provide you a great service at a reasonable cost. We also do not store any financial information and utilize one of the leading transaction providers to ensure security of your private information.
Creating your Website and App:
How do I get started creating my Wedding Website and App?
Simply go to www.TietheKnotApp.com and select the Register icon. You will then be prompted to create an account with Tie the Knot and begin setting up your website and app.
Once I am registered, how do I add content to my Wedding Website and App?
Adding content to your website and app is super easy. Make sure that you are logged in to Tie the Knot and then simply go to each section and follow the prompts to add details. For example, to add the time and location of your Wedding Ceremony go to the Events tab and enter your information. And that’s it! All content is immediately uploaded to your website and app!
How do I change the color and design of my Website and App?
Once logged in, select the Colors and Design tab on your website and scroll to the Design Theme section. Choose your new theme/color combination and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
How do I change my Cover image?
Once logged in, select the Colors and Design tab on your website and scroll to the Cover Image section. Click on the Choose File button, select a photo, and follow the photo cropping instructions. Once complete, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
If all my wedding details aren’t known yet, can I only show certain sections of my Website and App?
Yes, once logged in, select the Colors and Design tab on your website and scroll to the Enable Content section. Check/un-check sections as necessary and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
How does the Wedding Blog work?
The wedding blog is a great way to keep in touch with guests throughout the entire wedding journey. Perhaps there is a last minute change in the wedding schedule or you want to recommend some great places to visit while in town, create a blog entry and let your guests know! Users of the App will be able to post comments on the blog and the Bride will be sent an email when guests leave comments.
How do I invite guests to view my Website and App?
Upon registration, you will be sent an email from Tie the Knot that contains the public URL for your website. You can simply print this URL on your invitation and/or email to your guests. Once on your website, guests will automatically be prompted to download your app.
In addition, you can inform guests directly of your website and app by logging in and selecting the Share Website tab. Enter their contact information and they will be sent an email with your website address and how to download your app.
How do I remove my wedding or cancel my account?
Once logged in, select the My Account link. On the My Account page you have the option to remove your wedding and/or cancel your account with Tie the Knot. Note: Once a wedding or account is removed, all content is removed and can not be undone. If you cancel within a trial period, you will not be charged for Tie the Knot’s service.
